The AustraliaWinter camp in 2015
In February 2nd 2015,four students who come from the international classes of grade one and gradetwo started their journey, which lasted for 13 days. On the first day, theyflied to the biggest city Sydney. During their time in Sydney, they visited alot of famous scenic spots , like St. Mary's Cathedral, the AustralianMuseum, the University of Sydney, the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Zoo andmany more.The tour was a big culture shock for them, which gave them the first impressionof Australia.
After the visit in Sydney, theinternational students left for Mourning Dayton High School,which is located inthe Peninsula of Mourning Dayton and is famous for its academy, sports andliterature. While in Mourning Dayton High School, the four students had ESLcourses, youth police courses and manual courses with the local students.The students also took part in various outdoor activities, Such as visiting thewhole Peninsula of Mourning Dayton, camping outside , and even a jungle trek.The most appealing part was living with local families who helped them to learnmore customs and details .
Student’s communication skills andcultural abilities greatly improved via the 13 days camp .Meanwhile, they madefriends and got a chance to see an amazing new world. All the experiences theyhad in Australia greatly inspired them and strengthened their determination tostudy abroad.
